The Most Simple Way To Make Your Waist Look Smaller
H&M Chiffon A-Line Dress, Shop Bella Rosa Belt, Lilly's Kloset Heels
What woman doesn't want style tips on how to make her waist look smaller? I know I'm all ears on this topic. Well let's get right to it. The most simple way to make your waist look smaller is by adding a belt. You simply add your favorite belt to the smallest part of your waist, whether it's wide, thin, neutral or bright colored and your waistline will instantly appear smaller.
Let's use my outfit as an example. If you look at this A-Line dress on the site, it is not shown belted, it is very flowy and does not taper at the waist. This is fine if it's the look you are going for but it is much more flattering for my curvy shape (and most other shapes) to always define my waist. When I tried the dress on I knew it had potential and it was nothing a belt couldn't fix; and I was right.
Not only does adding a belt make your waist look smaller, it is also very stylish so it's a win all over. You can throw a belt over a dress like I did with this outfit, or a blazer, sweater, or coat. Belting your waistline helps to give the illusion of an hourglass figure if you don't already have one.
