Family Vlog: My birthday weekend getaway

Three weeks ago we celebrated my 36th birthday in Coronado Island near San Diego, California. Although this isn’t originally what we had planned, I had an amazing birthday. Last Christmas, Max gifted me with a trip to Tulum. When I opened the reservations I noticed the dates were for my birthday weekend. I was so excited! I’ve been wanting to go to Tulum for a while and I was also pumped to go on our first family vacation with our daughter, Mia. Well as you know, COVID aka Miss Rona had other plans.

We canceled the trip to Tulum. Max heard that Hawaii barely had any cases if Covid-19 so he booked a trip there instead. A couple of weeks before the trip we were informed that Hawaii has a mandatory 14-day quarantine policy. Once again we had to cancel the trip. I have to give it to Max because he was determined to celebrate my birthday somewhere other than our home. He booked a mini-vacation for us to stay in Coronado Island, which is about a 2-hour car ride from where we live. We had the best time and I was able to record some of our highlights.

So kick back and watch me celebrate my birthday with Max and Mia. I actually kick it off with a super small celebration at our house with my family. They love to spoil me!
